Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The common phrase basically means the person looking at you gets to determine how you look. This backward way that we judge other people based solely on their appearance is old, boring, and needs to go. Your inner self is the perfection of beauty, and no one has the right to tell you any different.
If you do a Google search for Beholder, you will see an interesting image of a floating blob of flesh with a large central eye and multiple appendages that end with eyes. This ugly beast is the perfect example of anyone who judges someone based solely on their appearance.
How can you know someone by just looking at them? Sure, you can pick up clues from body language and how they interact with people, but that is still just only the surface of what we are. You are missing out on so much by dismissing someone just because their skin is a different color or you don’t like how they look physically.
Inner self to outer self
We are all made up of the same cells. Billions of cells floating around in our bodies are making up just a fraction of who we are. Our inner self is a complicated being, and no one person is the same as the other. Even identical twins have some differences. We only see a thin eggshell layer of who we are, and judging someone based on that eggshell is as about as smart as trying to eat an egg with the shell still on.
If you would like to meet your inner self, there are plenty of opportunities to do it both online and in person. For instance, Gaia.com is a perfect place to start online with classes and documentaries for yoga, meditation, spirituality, and much more. You can also check your local area for gyms and small businesses that offer yoga and meditation classes. And finally, surround yourself with like-minded people, and you will find your path toward your inner self more enjoyable.
Remember to love yourself for who you are no matter what and others will see that beautiful inner self.
Smile, laugh, enjoy life. And remember. You Look Marvelous!!
